It happens about once a week. Thankfully he doesn't put anything around the house in there. Just his head.
And also really, REALLY cute!

And I did it! Turns out I can not figure out how to have intentional fun, keep my house clean and blog all in one summer. Blogging was the only thing that could be put on hold but it was worth it. We had play dates, planted a garden (a garden the size of one pallet but still), went to the mountains and the beach, 2 waterparks and Mrs. Comerfordhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13132569128279764959noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2480435303065023927.post-61701876025108067922018-04-29T09:14:00.003-07:002018-04-29T09:15:44.345-07:00It's TrickyI was texting with a friend today who lives entirely too far away and I miss dearly. She said "How are you? How are your sweet babies and your precious husband?" Sidenote: don't you love friends who build you up for more than you are? Here in the south we are good at that.
I had a response and I deleted it. My go to answer lately has been "it's SO hard" or "this is a Mrs. Comerfordhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13132569128279764959noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2480435303065023927.post-68557889419163062452018-04-03T07:20:00.000-07:002018-04-03T07:22:41.741-07:00He Is Risen! He is Risen Indeed!
Easter! It is my favorite holiday! Partly because it is in my most favorite time of the year. I LOVE springtime. I get winter blues in a pretty bad way so I welcome any signs of new life (even with all of the pollen it brings with it.) Give me all the warm weather, allergies and all... I will suffer for your beauty and warm temperatures.

"what exactly does this mean?"
First I would love to say that we just wanted to tighten up and were convicted to spend less but that's not the case. (Momentary pause) But it’s only because you are in your pajamas.” I know you do. And it’s not just because of my pajamas. And thank you for humbling me before I’m even done with my coffee. The words are so powerful. Truthfully it's been hard listening to it on the radio after first hearing it in a live worship experience.
We have been on winter break, with amazing spring time weather, which means I've been walking a fine line of letting my children have an absolute blast and not Mrs. Comerfordhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13132569128279764959noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2480435303065023927.post-79890923452661969472018-02-13T03:52:00.000-08:002018-02-13T03:52:15.295-08:00PatienceBut the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, PATIENCE, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control, against such things there is no law. Or Is It Really? Yes, It Is.In order to get any sort of laundry done around here without cussing I have to listen to sermons online. Usually people with A LOT of energy like Beth Moore or Priscilla Shirer. And even with said sermons on auto-play on YouTube, my dining room still looks like this. They are all clean.
One of my middle school youth group girls was over here around the holidays and said "Ms Nicole,Mrs. Comerfordhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13132569128279764959noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2480435303065023927.post-57824311710602453262018-02-01T18:41:00.001-08:002018-02-01T18:41:32.597-08:00Happy Birthday Mama!
She is 19 years and 3 days older than me. I said the other day "I remember driving to her 40th birthday party and Will will still be crapping in his pants at mine."
She is feisty and fun and her heart is full of love for pretty much everyone she meets. She loves all things Alabama and all things Mardi Gras, but she loves me the most... and those babies I created. And one Mrs. Comerfordhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13132569128279764959noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2480435303065023927.post-31853658114294477572018-01-30T07:38:00.002-08:002018-01-30T07:38:38.098-08:00I'm Back... Probably... MaybeIt's been soooo long! So long that it took a large amount of naptime to even remember what email address (much less password) I used to sign into my blog. I've felt a stirring for a little bit that I wanted to bring my thoughts back to this place but I wasn't sure that I have time for that. I'm still not sure I have time for that. But after weekly comments of "you should Mrs. Comerfordhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13132569128279764959noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2480435303065023927.post-87960975910841566112013-12-30T16:42:00.000-08:002013-12-30T16:42:08.586-08:00Amelia Island TimeHere I am sitting on Amelia Island. It is a beautiful place. We are with beautiful friends and their fun children. The ladies of the group had lunch and went shopping without children. We had mimosas and it was glorious! We are so excited and grateful for this weekend!
However, last time I was on this island it was girls only and a 40th birthday celebration. It looked something like this....

I love it here! . I love it much more than I thought I would! Everything is in bloom and so pretty. Bad part is that there is a lot of grass to cut and we've had lots of rain. That means we feel like we need to mow every time we turn around! Plans of being out on the boat all day in the sunshine then a night of fireworks just was not happening.
Atlanta kept announcing that rain or shine their fireworks were still on. Since the idea of staying cooped up in the house with the kids for 2 days had me seeing DFACS reports we decided to get out Mrs. Comerfordhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13132569128279764959noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2480435303065023927.post-80179238291403237852013-06-18T17:42:00.001-07:002013-06-18T17:42:54.711-07:00First Big Girl Dentist AppointmentAmelia has been to the dentist once. She sat in my lap during my appointment.she was introduced to the tools and they looked in her mouth a few times.
Today we had a straight up big girl dentist appointment. She sat in the chair by herself and they did the whole drill! She did great! She got to pick out her flavor of toothpaste. Bubblegum! And it was quick and easy.

Of course this is coming from the child's perspective.
I have not one but two men who met me and made a decision to keep me. One at 13 and the other at 26. Amelia was cute in her own way and she is so pretty now but Annie is something else. I think it has a lot to do with all her curls
I did not do as many updates as I did with Amelia. Poor second child... Also, Annie just isn't doing all that much. She still isn't really talking, which is fine for her ageMrs. Comerfordhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13132569128279764959noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2480435303065023927.post-90979070898534492252013-06-01T18:24:00.000-07:002013-06-01T18:24:00.557-07:00Making Hay While the SunshinesLots of things have been going on in Comerford-land. Seems like a trend doesn't it? School is out and we are busier than ever!
Things had been really stressful at work the past 4 months or so. Something had to give. I don't mention much about working. I've never really thought about that... It drives me crae-crae! Too much energy and interruptions over things I do not remotely care about. Bunch of fast talking nuts!

Rethink... Well, everything!Have you ever seen the movie Moneyball? It is a great movie. I'd totally suggest it for a date night in. You and the hubs, or boyfriend or wife or girlfriend or whoever would love it. Moneyball is basically about the Oakland A's being a poorer baseball team but still having to compete with the big money teams like the Yankees. Some days I can not believe this sweet girl is already almost 4 years old and is old enough to sing at all. Then some days it seems like she has been in our life forever. Isn't it amazing how these little people squeeze in and become such a big part of your world so quickly?! Word is that she learned this at dance. While I'm sure he and his wife are not perfect parents, they did a lot of things that stuck with me. A few of them we do in our own house almost 10 years later.
One thing he talked about doing at dinner was High-Low. You will go around the table and tell your highest point of the day and the lowest point. Mrs. Comerfordhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13132569128279764959noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2480435303065023927.post-8945023191734536152013-04-20T15:30:00.001-07:002013-05-06T17:01:57.217-07:00Starting the Summer at SeasideThis post is brought to you live from the beaches of South Walton County.
No lie prefer the Georgia Coast. St Simons will always hold a special place in my heart! But, Seaside has its own special atmosphere of awesomeness.
